We do this as a short, paid engagement with a written outcome: current state, the options with real costs and trade-offs, and a recommended sequence. If the answer is that you should buy something off the shelf and not hire us to build it, that is what the report will say.
It is a useful exercise before a budget cycle, a funding application, or a decision you would rather not revisit in eighteen months.
